    Hand Carved Hardwood Figure from the Batak Culture of Sumatra.

    18 inches (45.7 cm) high x 3 1/4 inches (8.4 cm) in maximum diameter
    Condition: Very Good: The item has a nice old patina and subtle surface variation due to age. There are several cracks due to drying and wood shrinkage.
    Description; this is an uncommon item that was carved from native fine grained hardwood, It may be a transitional object carved for the “art-market” rather than for ethnographic use.
