    Vintage 5 TAPA Paper Bark Cloth Figi
    Panels Assorted Designs Hand Painted
    Listed here are five lovely vintage TAPA Bark Paper/Cloth panels
    that were once used as placemats. These handmade panels represent one of the oldest cultural art forms particularly in Figi and Samoa. Made from the inner bark of the native Mulberry tree by pasting the pounded sheets together and then hand painted with traditional designs using natural plant dyes. There are five different designs represented in this group.
    Measurements for four of the panels is about 13" x 19-1/2". One panel is slightly smaller at 12-3/4" x 18". Condition is good with a few stains, one small hole and minor wear pictured in the photos. Some of the edges are bent and there are fold impressions plus a tiny bit of writing on the back.
    These strikingly beautiful panels would be best suited as framed artwork to preserve them as well as provide visual enjoyment in a home or office setting.
