Vintage Vernonware Vernon Kilns Homespun Hand Painted 9.5” Oval Platter Plate

Description

This is a lovely 9.5” serving platter in the Homespun pattern of Vernonware. Hand painted underglaze colors featured in the plaid include green, rust, and yellow, with a rust-colored rim and an off-white/cream center. The item was made in California during the late 40s / early 50s. The plate measures just over 9.5” long and 6” wide. Only small silver etchings noticeable under the brightest of lights and a tiny black smudge on the back under the glaze. No chips, cracks or crazing. See photos.
