VTG 'ORGANDIE' BY VERNONWARE METLOX POPPY TRAIL 1~8 1/8" SOUP PLATE CA POTTERY

Description

This listing is for 1 ~ 8 1/8" diameter Rimmed Soup Plate in the 'Organdie' pattern by Vernonware Metlox Poppy Trail Vernon Kilns.  It is California Pottery;  there were actually 6 Vernonware Plaid Dinnerware Patterns in tis line, all of them striking.  This soup plate is 1 1/2" in height.  It features shades of brown, tan, gold and has a dark brown rim.  There are no chips, cracks, crazing, repairs, or stains;  it is signed on the underside.  The glaze is shiny, bright and glossy.  There is a moderate number of paper thin utensil marks.  There is a slight fuzziness to the glaze, most likely from aging, and possible crazing wanting to form.  Last photo shows the bowl with a very bright light shining onto it.  All other pictures are with normal light.  But still lovely and will still be a lovely addition to your table.
